Basketball Recap: Guthrie Victorious

Guthrie won against Chisholm last Saturday with 51 points and they decided to stick to that point total again on Sunday. The Guthrie Bluejays skirted past the Chisholm Longhorns 51-48. That's two games straight that the Bluejays have won by exactly three points.

Guthrie has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games, which provided a massive bump to their 4-9 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 52.8 points per game. As for Chisholm, their loss was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 8-10.

Guthrie didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 63-38 defeat against Bishop Kelley on the 28th. As for Chisholm, they will head out to square off against Watonga at 8:00 p.m. on Thursday. Chisholm is facing Watonga at the right time seeing as Watonga is stuck on a three-game losing streak.
