Basketball Preview: Ellicott Thunderhawks vs. Crowley County Chargers
Ellicott is 1-6 against the Chargers since March of 2016 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Thursday. The Ellicott Thunderhawks will be playing in front of their home fans against the Crowley County Chargers at 7:30 p.m. Ellicott, yet to win a game, are hoping to taste some of the success that has characterized the Chargers' (thus far) undefeated season.
Last Friday, Ellicott was beaten by the Thunderbolts 66-34. Ellicott was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 38-17.
In what's become a running theme this season, Crowley County gave their fans yet another huge win on Friday. They breezed by Las Animas at home to the tune of 73-37. Crowley County's offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.
Ellicott's defeat was their ninth straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-16. As for Crowley County, their victory bumped their record up to 17-0.
