Volleyball Recap: Maloney Picks Up Ninth Straight Win at Home

Maloney waltzed into their game on Friday with four straight wins... but they left with five. Everything went their way against Lewis Mills as they made off with a 3-0 victory. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Maloney also won the last time the pair played back in May of 2024.

While Maloney won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the third set they played. The final score came out to 25-13, 25-8, 25-23.

Nathan Vitelli paced Maloney's offense, picking up 20 kills. Vitelli got some help from Galo Cadena and his 26 assists. Vitelli was also solid from the service line: he led the team with seven aces.

Maloney pushed their record up to 18-1 with the win, which was their ninth straight at home dating back to last season. As for Lewis Mills, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-17.

As of now, neither Maloney nor Lewis Mills have any future games scheduled.
