Basketball Recap: Jordan Comes Up Short

After flying high against Morton Ranch last Tuesday, Jordan came back down to earth. The Jordan Warriors lost 62-41 to the Cinco Ranch Cougars on Tuesday. The Warriors have struggled against the Cougars recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.

It was another big night for Aniya' Foy, who went 11 of 22 on her way to 30 points along with six boards and four steals for Cinco Ranch. The game was Foy's 40th in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Maria Podskarbi, who posted six points and 12 rebounds.

Jordan's loss dropped their record down to 9-8. As for Cinco Ranch, they are on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last 12 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 13-5 record this season.

Jordan will venture away from home to take on Seven Lakes at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Cinco Ranch, a feisty cat fight will be fought when the Cinco Ranch Cougars face off against the Paetow Panthers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
