Baseball Recap: Granada Find Success

Granada was handed a heart-breaking two-run loss in their last contest, but they sure didn't let that happen against Manzanola on Friday. Granada was the clear victor by a 15-5 margin over Manzanola. This was a revenge game for Granada: when they faced off against Manzanola on Friday, they had to take a 7-5 defeat.

Granada let Adam Hainer and Annalicia Mendez run wild. Hainer scored two runs and stole three bases while going 1-for-4, while Mendez scored a run while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances. Those two runs gave Hainer a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Alejandro Perez, who scored three runs while going 1-for-3.

Granada always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .528. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their OBP total in three consecutive games.

Granada's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-8. As for Manzanola, their loss dropped their record down to 2-7.

Granada wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next match, a 9-1 defeat against Holly on the 15th. As for Manzanola, they have also already played their next contest, a 19-2 loss against Springfield on the 15th.
