A well-balanced attack led Alamosa over Lamar in every quarter on their way to victory on Saturday. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that the Alamosa Mean Moose blew the Lamar Thunder out of the water with a 56-12 final score. The Mean Moose have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won seven contests by 20 points or more this season.

It was another big night for Morgan Ortega, who posted 14 points and six assists. Another player making a difference was Audrina Knorr, who had nine points.

Alamosa's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 11-5. Those victories came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 24.3 points per game. As for Lamar, their defeat ended a five-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 11-3.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Alamosa will take on Monte Vista at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Lamar, they will face off against The Vanguard School at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Lamar's defense has only allowed 27.4 points per game this season, so The Vanguard School's offense will have their work cut out for them.
