Basketball Recap: NorthPoint Christian Academy Gets the Win

NorthPoint Christian Academy won the last time they faced Providence Classical, and Chelan Chudgar did his part to make sure it happened again. The NorthPoint Christian Academy NightHawks enjoyed a cozy 67-53 win over the Providence Classical Paladins on Tuesday thanks in part to Chudgar, who posted 33 points. He is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last three games he's played.

Another player making a difference was Gabe Spann, who had 15 points in addition to seven boards and five steals. With that strong performance, he is now averaging an impressive 2.1 steals per game.

When it comes to explaining why Providence Classical lost, don't look at Grafton Eiff. Despite the final result, he went 10 of 17 on his way to 30 points along with seven blocks and six boards.

The victory got NorthPoint Christian Academy back to even at 4-4. As for Providence Classical, their loss dropped their record down to 3-3.

NorthPoint Christian Academy will welcome UR Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Providence Classical, they will head out to face off against Walnut Grove Christian at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Walnut Grove Christian knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past five contests -- so hopefully Providence Classical likes a good challenge.
