Basketball Recap: Pebble Hills Takes a Loss

After flying high against Socorro last Friday, Pebble Hills came back down to earth. The Pebble Hills Spartans came up short against the Eastlake Falcons on Tuesday, falling 56-33. The matchup marked the Spartans' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Leading Eastlake to victory were Braeden Quigley and Tristan Anderson-Edmond. Quigley dropped a double-double on 15 points and ten rebounds, while Anderson-Edmond went 6 of 14 on his way to 14 points and six rebounds. The dominant performance gave Quigley a new career-high in points. The team also got some help courtesy of Oscar Ornelas, who posted six points.

Pebble Hills' defeat dropped their record down to 13-10. As for Eastlake, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 16-5.

Pebble Hills will challenge Franklin at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Eastlake, it'll be Battle of the Birds when the Eastlake Falcons face off against the Coronado Thunderbirds at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
