Basketball Recap: Wheaton Academy Takes a Loss

Wheaton Academy saw some tournament action on Wednesday. They fell just short of the Thornridge Falcons by a score of 51-48.

Leading Thornridge to victory were Marcellus French and Ty'Ron Holcomb. French shot 64% from the field to rack up 20 points and three steals, while Holcomb dropped a double-double with 13 points and 11 boards.

Wheaton Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Thornridge, they have started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

Wheaton Academy wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 59-51 victory against St. Charles North on the 28th. As for Thornridge, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 76-62 loss against Plainfield East on the 28th.
