Baseball Game Preview: Channel Islands Raiders vs. Fillmore Flashes

For the second straight game, Channel Islands will face off against Fillmore. Channel Islands will head out on the road to challenge Fillmore at 3:30 p.m. on Friday.

On Wednesday, Channel Islands was able to grind out a solid win over Fillmore, taking the game 10-5. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Raiders.

James Naranjo tossed a big game, pitching five innings while giving up four earned runs off four hits.

At the plate, Isaiah Osuna was a standout: he went 3-for-4 with two doubles and one stolen base. That's the most hits he has posted since back in February. Another player making a difference was Gavin Marin, who scored two runs and stole a base while getting on base in three of his five plate appearances.

Channel Islands always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .585. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Fillmore only posted an OBP of .267.

Channel Islands pushed their record up to 5-7 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 4.0 runs on average over those games. As for Fillmore, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-8.
