Basketball Recap: Firebaugh Takes a Loss

Firebaugh was the 50-47 winner over Torres when they last played one another on December 2nd, but their luck changed this time around. The Firebaugh Eagles fell 50-40 to the Torres Toros on Monday.

Firebaugh has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-9 record this season. As for Torres, with the victory, they broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 6-8.

Firebaugh will face off against Fowler on Friday. Fowler has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. As for Torres, they will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on McLane at 6:30 p.m. on January 10, 2025.
