Basketball Recap: Mason Emil Key Part of a Team Effort in Rams Win

Mt. Rainier won the last time they faced Kentridge and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Mt. Rainier Rams managed a 48-43 victory over the Kentridge Chargers.

Mt. Rainier's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Mason Emil led the charge by putting up 14 points and four blocks. Those four blocks gave Emil a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Jayden Dolce, who went 5 of 10 on his way to 13 points.

Mt. Rainier's win bumped their record up to 9-5. As for Kentridge, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 6-8.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Mt. Rainier will venture away from home to take on Auburn at 8:00 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Auburn's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points every time they've taken the court this season. Kentridge has already played their next matchup (against Kennedy Catholic), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
