Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Sequoyah). They were the clear victors by a 4-1 margin over the Woodstock Wolverines on Thursday. The score was close at halftime, but Sequoyah pulled away in the second half with three goals.

They hit Woodstock with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Anastyn Lanphier (2), Kate Courchene, and Ayva Richards.

Sequoyah's win was their first in the region, bumping their region record up to 1-6 and their overall record up to 3-9. As for Woodstock, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-9.

Looking ahead, Sequoyah will be playing in front of their home fans against West Forsyth at 8:00 p.m. on Friday. West Forsyth will roll in looking for their eighth straight victory, something Sequoyah surely won't give up without a fight. Woodstock does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
