Softball Recap: Columbus Takes a Loss

Columbus was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They lost 35-23 to the Ridgeland Titans. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game on Friday (20), the Falcons still had to take the loss.

Columbus' loss dropped their record down to 1-15. As for Ridgeland, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 4-9 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Columbus will venture away from home to square off against Choctaw Central at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Ridgeland, they will face off against Vicksburg at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
