Softball Recap: McKinney Comes Up Short

McKinney was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They fell 8-4 to the Lovejoy Leopards. Unfortunately, that's the first time they've come up short against the Leopards this season, with their most recent defeat being a 8-4 loss on Saturday.

Ryley Oles made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored two runs and stole a base while going 1-for-2. She also put up an RBI, which washer first of the season. Another player making a difference was Kady Huggins, who scored two runs while going 1-for-2.

McKinney's defeat dropped their record down to 0-9-1. As for Lovejoy, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 6-5.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Lovejoy beat McKinney by a score of 8-4 later that day.
