Paradise Honors played a tough contest on Thursday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They lost 42-21 to the Northwest Christian Crusaders. The Panthers were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 28-7.

When it comes to explaining why Paradise Honors lost, don't look at Chuck Van Dyke. Despite the final result, he rushed for 142 yards and two scores. The Panthers are 4-2 when Van Dyke posts two or more rushing touchdowns, but 1-3 otherwise. Another big playmaker for Paradise Honors was Preston Brown, who returned a punt for a touchdown.

It was another big night for Laki Wallwork, who rushed for 94 yards and a pair of touchdowns on only ten carries, and also threw for 268 yards and three TDs while completing 76.7% of his passes for Northwest Christian. Those 94 rushing yards gave Wallwork a new career-high. Northwest Christian's leading receiver Landon Beckman was Wallwork's top target yet again, picking up 156 receiving yards and one score.

Paradise Honors has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-5 record this season. As for Northwest Christian, their win was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 6-4.
