Breckinridge County won against Hancock County on Friday with five runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Wednesday. The Fighting Tigers never let the Meade County Green Waves get on the board and left with a 5-0 win. The victory was familiar territory for the Fighting Tigers, who have now won six matchups in a row.

Not much got past Tristan Wicker, who gave up just four hits and racked up 12 Ks to keep Meade County off the board. Wicker has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in eight consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Hayden Henry was excellent, going 1-for-3 with one home run and three RBI. That home run marked the first that he has launched this season. Adam Howell was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two RBI, one run, and one double.

Breckinridge County pushed their record up to 14-7 with the win, which was their third straight at home. The home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.0 runs on average over those games. As for Meade County, their defeat was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 16-8.

Breckinridge County will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Green Waves: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
