Baseball Recap: Wednesday's Win Is Three Rivers' Sixth in Last Eight Outings

Three Rivers won the last time they faced Buchanan and things went their way on Wednesday too. The Wildcats came out on top against the Bucks by a score of 7-2.

Brady Penny and Jace Gray did most of the damage at the plate: Penny got on base in three of his four plate appearances with two runs, one triple, and one stolen base, while Gray went 2-for-4 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run. Gray has been hot, having posted at least one stolen base the last seven times he's played. Another player making a difference was Wyatt Ferriby, who went 2-for-3 with one triple and one RBI.

Three Rivers is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-5 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.3 runs over those games. As for Buchanan, their loss was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 4-6.
