Volleyball Recap: Heritage Christian Takes a Loss

Heritage Christian was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They lost 3-0 to the Village Christian Crusaders. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Crusaders this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 0-0 back in March.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-17, 25-3, 25-15.

Village Christian was led to victory by Mark Lee and Alex Kazaryan. Lee had four aces and three digs, while Kazaryan hit 100% for 13 kills and five digs and two assists. Those two assists gave Kazaryan a new career-high.

Heritage Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 2-18. As for Village Christian, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-13 record this season.

Heritage Christian will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Valley Christian at 5:15 p.m. on the 22nd. As for Village Christian, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 3-0 win against Whittier Christian on the 11th.
