Basketball Recap: Northeast Jones Comes Up Short

Northeast Jones was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their 12th straight defeat. They were dealt a 53-15 loss at the hands of the Quitman Panthers. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Tigers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 55-26 on January 3rd.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Quitman to victory, but perhaps none more so than TRINITY MORGAN, who posted 13 points. Another player making a difference was AIYANNA DEAR, who had 11 points.

Northeast Jones' record is now 2-20. As for Quitman, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight matches, which provided a nice bump to their 15-8 record this season.

Northeast Jones won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Morton at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Morton will roll in looking for their tenth straight victory, something Northeast Jones surely won't give up without a fight. As for Quitman, a feisty cat fight is on tap when the Quitman Panthers challenge the Forest Bearcats at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
