Albuquerque had to kick off their season on the road on Thursday, but they showed no ill effects. Everything went their way against the Del Norte Knights as they made off with a 3-0 win. The Bulldogs haven't had any issues with the Knights recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive victory against them.

Albuquerque's got stronger as the match went on, holding Del Norte to fewer and fewer points set over set. The match finished with set scores of 25-10, 25-9, 25-7.

Kaelynn Ashley paced Albuquerque's offense, picking up 12 kills. Ashley got some help from Ayva Ashley and her 20 assists. Camilla Villarreal controlled things from the service line, finishing with five aces.

Del Norte is on a five-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-2.

Albuquerque wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 3-0 defeat against Cleveland on the 26th. As for Del Norte, they have also already played their next game, a 3-0 win against Highland on the 27th.
