Softball Recap: Summit Academy Comes Up Short

If Summit Academy was feeling good fresh off their 28-4 takedown of Park City on Wednesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Bears lost 24-2 to the Provo Bulldogs on Thursday. The Bears have struggled against the Bulldogs recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.

Harley Davies was cooking despite her team's loss, going a perfect 1-for-1 with two stolen bases, two RBI, and one double. That double marked the first that she has hit this season. Ellie Sylvia was another key player, going 1-for-2 with one stolen base, one run, and one double.

Summit Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 3-15. As for Provo, their victory bumped their record up to 6-13.

Coming up, Summit Academy will be playing in front of their home fans against Utah Military Academy - Camp Williams at 3:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Provo, they will venture away from home to challenge Highland at 3:30 p.m. on Monday.
