Basketball Game Preview: Fort Jennings Musketeers vs. Miller City Wildcats

Fort Jennings is 1-9 against Miller City since February of 2015 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Fort Jennings Musketeers will face off against the Miller City Wildcats at 7:00 p.m. Both teams are coming into the game red-hot, with Fort Jennings sitting on five straight victories and Miller City on three.

If Fort Jennings beats Miller City with 43 points on Friday, it's going to be the team's new lucky number: they've won their past two matches with that exact score. Fort Jennings snuck past New Knoxville with a 43-38 win on Saturday. Given the Musketeers' advantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 251st, while the Rangers are ranked 632nd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, Miller City hadn't done well against Wayne Trace recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Saturday. Miller City came out on top against Wayne Trace by a score of 59-46.

Fort Jennings has also been performing well recently as they've won nine of their last 11 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 12-5 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 50.2 points per game. As for Miller City, their victory bumped their record up to 14-3.
