Western put their dominant pitcher on display in the team's fourth consecutive shutout on Saturday. Their pitcher stepped up to hand the Tipton Blue Devils a 10-0 shutout. Fans of the Panthers have seen this all before: every one of the games they've played this season has ended in a blowout of 6+ runs.

Brynley Erb was incredible, getting on base in all four of her plate appearances with one home run, two runs, and two RBI. Jocelyn Jeffers was another key player, going 3-for-4 with four RBI.

Western hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Tipton struck out nine times.

Western's victory bumped their record up to 3-0. As for Tipton, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-3.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Western will welcome Hamilton Heights at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Panthers' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Huskies have averaged an impressive 9.6 runs per game this season. As for Tipton, they will face off against Logansport at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Berries will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something the Blue Devils surely won't give up without a fight.
