Basketball Recap: Kingsbury Falcons vs. Memphis Central Warriors
Kingsbury was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They received a blow as they fell 74-55 to the Memphis Central Warriors. While losing is never fun, the Falcons can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Tennessee basketball rankings (they are ranked 339th, while the Warriors are ranked 62nd).
Damion Cox was his usual excellent self, putting up 28 points for Memphis Central. Cox's evening made it four games in a row in which he has scored at least 16 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jaylon Evans, who posted 11 points.
Kingsbury's defeat dropped their record down to 3-21. As for Memphis Central, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-8 record this season.
Kingsbury does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Memphis Central, they will head out on the road to face off against White Station at 7:30 p.m. on Monday.
