Football Recap: Parker Braves vs. Fleming Island Golden Eagles        
        
		
             If Parker was riding high  fresh off their  44-12 takedown of Westside last Monday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Parker Braves had to suffer through a   51-24 loss at the hands of the Fleming Island Golden Eagles. While losing is never fun, the Braves can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage  in MaxPreps' Florida football rankings  (they are ranked 218th, while the Golden Eagles are ranked 75th).
 Despite the loss, Parker still got an impressive performance from   Tony Kennedy, who rushed for 232 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 13.6 yards per carry, and also threw for 134 yards and a touchdown. Kennedy's rushing production has been exceptional recently as that marked his fifth straight game with at least 125  rushing yards.
  Demhir Jackson continued  his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Fleming Island, rushing for 218 yards and three touchdowns on only 14 carries. Those 218  rushing yards gave  Jackson a new career-high. Another player making a difference was  Trace Burney, who picked up 143 receiving yards and four touchdowns.
 The  defeat snapped Parker's winning streak at three games  and leaves them with a 3-5 record. As for Fleming Island,  the  win made it two in a row for them and  bumps their season record up to 5-3.
 Parker will look to defend their home field  on Friday against Englewood  at 6:30  p.m. Parker is facing Englewood at the right time seeing as Englewood is stuck on  a  three-game losing streak. As for Fleming Island, they will head out to  square off against Middleburg  at 7:00  p.m.  on Friday. Middleburg is coming into the  contest with four straight  losses at home,  meaning Fleming Island will have to defend against a  team hungry for a  victory.
