The defeat continues a trend for the Cougars in their matchups with the Wildcats: they've now lost three in a row.

New Heights Christian Academy's loss ended a five-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 1-1. As for Diamond, their win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 4-6.
