Basketball Recap: Rolla Comes Up Short

Rolla played a tough matchup on Tuesday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They were dealt a 70-11 loss at the hands of Balko/Forgan. The Pirates were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 35-2.

They got a good chunk of their points from the dynamic duo of Yareli Cruz and Madylin Huber, who each put up four points.

Taylor Lewis had a dynamite gamefor Balko/Forgan, dropping a double-double with 22 points and ten steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Brya Appelhans, who posted 11 points in addition to seven rebounds and five steals.

Rolla's defeat dropped their record down to 0-8. As for Balko/Forgan, their victory bumped their record up to 10-4.

Rolla wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 50-5 loss against South Baca [Campo/Vilas/Pritchett] on the 20th. As for Balko/Forgan, they have also already played their next game, a 54-26 win against Goodwell on the 16th.
