The East Bay Indians will be playing in front of their home fans against the Brandon Eagles at 4:00 p.m. The timing is sure in East Bay's favor as the squad sits on four straight wins at home while Brandon has been banged up by 11 consecutive losses on the road dating back to last season.
On Tuesday, East Bay beat Plant City 11-6.
Elana Roush made a splash no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out 11 batters over seven innings while giving up four earned (and two unearned) runs off 12 hits. Roush has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than seven strikeouts in five consecutive pitching appearances. Roush was also big at the plate, scoring a run while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances.
In other batting news, Molly Johnson was a standout: she fired off two home runs and four RBI while going 2-for-4. Another player making a difference was Kamiira Austin, who scored two runs and stole three bases while going 3-for-3.
