Baseball Recap: Neelyville Takes a Loss

Neelyville was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 3-2 to the Campbell Camels, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior. If the Tigers were looking for revenge after losing 16-4 to the Camels when the teams met back in May of 2021, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Neelyville saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Zak Cowley, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one double.

Neelyville's defeat dropped their record down to 5-14. As for Campbell, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-9.

While Neelyville had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
