Basketball Recap: Cheney Takes a Loss

Cheney was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 11th straight loss. They were beaten by the Ridgeline Falcons 68-26. While losing is never fun, the Blackhawks can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Washington basketball rankings (they are ranked 213th, while the Falcons are ranked 23rd).

Emma Myers was her usual excellent self, going 11 of 19 en route to 25 points and five steals for Ridgeline. The matchup was Myers' fifth in a row with at least 19 points. Another player making a difference was Madilyn Crowley, who went 5 for 10 on her way to 13 points along with six boards and three steals.

Cheney's defeat dropped their record down to 4-15. As for Ridgeline, the victory was the 16th in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 17-2.

Cheney wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 50-34 win against Shadle Park on the 7th. As for Ridgeline, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 56-40 loss against Central Valley on the 7th.
