Basketball Recap: Liberty Center Comes Up Short

It was a proper cat-fight when Liberty Center faced off against Paulding on Saturday. The Liberty Center Tigers fell 72-64 to the Paulding Panthers. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game last Thursday (55), the Tigers still had to take the loss.

Liberty Center has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-5 record this season. Those losses can't be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 57.0 points per game. As for Paulding, their victory ended a five-game drought at home and bumped them up to 5-8.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Liberty Center will square off against Fairview at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in Liberty Center's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last three contests. As for Paulding, they will welcome Ayersville at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
