Basketball Game Preview: Allen Mustangs vs. Stroud Tigers

The Allen Mustangs are taking a road trip to take on the Stroud Tigers at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Allen is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 60.4 points per game this season.

Allen saw some tournament action on Saturday. The matchup between them and Alva didn't end well, with Allen falling 49-34. The game marked the Mustangs' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Despite the loss, Allen had strong showings from Kaylee Davis, who went 6 of 14 en route to 15 points and six rebounds, and Kryslyn Stephens, who posted seven points and eight rebounds. The dominant performance also gave Davis a new career-high in blocks (two).

Meanwhile, it's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 57-27, which was the final score in Stroud's tilt against McLoud last Friday. While losing is never fun, the Tigers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Oklahoma basketball rankings (they are ranked 243rd, while the Redskins are ranked 28th).

Stroud's defeat dropped their record down to 4-3. As for Allen, their loss dropped their record down to 7-3.
