 After losing to Porter the last time they met, Dayton decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Dayton Broncos came out on top against the Porter Spartans by a score of  7-2  on Tuesday.
  Madi Alvarado spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered  just two earned runs on five hits and racked up ten Ks.
 At the plate,  Isabella Barziza and  Ariana Zuniga did most of the damage at the plate:  Barziza  went 1-for-4 with a  home run and two  RBI, while  Zuniga  went 2-for-4 with a  home run and a  double.  Ava Horrell was another key contributor,  scoring a  run while going 2-for-4.
 Dayton's victory bumped their record up to 18-5. As for Porter, they have  traveled a rocky road recently having  lost four of their last five matches,  which put a noticeable dent in their 10-8 record  this season.
 Both  squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Dayton will take on Nacogdoches at 5:30  p.m.  on Friday. Nacogdoches is strutting in with some hitting muscle, as they've averaged 7.9  runs per game this season. As for Porter, they will be playing at home against Lufkin at 6:30  p.m.  on Friday. Lufkin's pitching crew has only allowed four  runs per game  this season, so Porter's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
