Football Recap: Gavin Skotvold's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Baltic over Flandreau

Baltic was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their tenth straight loss dating back to last season. They fell 20-12 to the Flandreau Fliers. The Bulldogs lost against the Fliers in their previous head to head back in August of 2024, too, but the margin this time around was much closer than the 42-12 score last time.

Baltic lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Gavin Skotvold, who threw for 196 yards and two TDs while completing 78.9% of his passes.

Baltic's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Flandreau, the win got them back to even at 1-1.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Baltic is set to challenge their familiar foe Sioux Valley at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Flandreau will square off against rival Parker at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
