Baseball Recap: Arthur-Lovington/Atwood-Hammond Victorious

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Cumberland, Arthur-Lovington/Atwood-Hammond was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. They came out on top against the Paris Tigers by a score of 8-3. The win continues a trend for the Knights in their matchups with the Tigers: they've now won three in a row.

Marcus Otto was incredible, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while going 2-for-3. He has become a key player for Arthur-Lovington/Atwood-Hammond: the team is 2-1 when he posts at least two stolen bases, but 4-6 otherwise. The team also got some help courtesy of Maxton Boddy, who scored a run while going 2-for-4.

Arthur-Lovington/Atwood-Hammond's victory bumped their record up to 6-7. As for Paris, their defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 6-6.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Arthur-Lovington/Atwood-Hammond will square off against Villa Grove at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Paris, they will take on Riverton Parke at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The Panthers' pitching crew has only allowed four runs per game this season, so the Tigers' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
