Basketball Recap: Vallejo Takes a Loss

Vallejo saw some tournament action on Saturday. They took a 75-66 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Woodland Christian Cardinals. The Redhawks have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Romello Bruhn continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Woodland Christian, almost dropping a double-double on 42 points and nine rebounds. The contest was Bruhn's 37th in a row with at least ten points. Isaiah Hunt was another key player, putting up seven points.

Vallejo's defeat dropped their record down to 2-6. As for Woodland Christian, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 7-3 record this season.

Vallejo wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 77-40 loss against Benicia on the 26th. As for Woodland Christian, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 70-62 defeat against Chico on the 30th.
