Archbishop McCarthy not only won on Friday, but they posted their biggest win since August 25th (when they won 3-0). Everything went their way against the Seacrest Country Day Stingrays as they made off with a 3-0 victory. For the Mavericks, this counts as revenge for the 2-1 win the Stingrays walked away with the last time they faced one another back in October of 2021.

Archbishop McCarthy not only won, but also showed off some consistency: they kept Seacrest Country Day between 17 and 20 points across their sets. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-17, 25-19, 25-20.

Among those leading the charge was Fabiana Castro, who had ten digs and three aces. What's more, she racked up 23 assists, the most she's had since back in October of 2024. Brooke Nanavichit also deserves some recognition as she posted her first assists of the season.

Despite the loss, Seacrest Country Day still got an impressive performance from Ava Daviault, who had nine digs and three assists.

Archbishop McCarthy's victory bumped their record up to 8-1. As for Seacrest Country Day, they now have a losing record of 4-5.

Coming up, Archbishop McCarthy will venture away from home to take on Pine Crest at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Seacrest Country Day, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 3-0 win against Barron Collier on the 8th.
