Volleyball Recap: Central Indians vs. Sheridan Broncs

Central faced Sheridan in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Saturday. The Indians took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Broncs. The Indians were not able to make up for their loss to the Broncs from their previous meeting back in November of 2024.

The match finished with set scores of 25-21, 25-13, 21-25, 25-17.

Shayne Spencer paced Central's offense, picking up eight kills. Spencer got some help from Breck Custis and her 12 assists. Cambry Callison controlled things from the service line, finishing with eight aces.

Leading Sheridan to victory were Alexia Johnston and Valli Frost. Johnston had five aces, while Frost had five digs. Those five aces gave Johnston a new career-high. Mesa Hanft also deserves some recognition as she had her first block of the season.
