Basketball Game Preview: Osborne Cardinals vs. Paulding County Patriots

Having just played yesterday, the Osborne Cardinals will jump right back in to play the Paulding County Patriots at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Osborne has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.

On Monday, Osborne earned a 51-44 victory over South Cobb.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Paulding County). They claimed a resounding 101-41 win over Osborne. The Patriots have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 11 matches by 22 points or more this season.

Paulding County's win came from a few key players Osborne will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Alexus Wilson, who dropped a double-double with 29 points and 12 boards. That's the most points she has posted since back in November of 2024. Lillie Harris was another key player, going 9 of 20 on her way to 24 points in addition to eight rebounds and six steals.

Paulding County smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 20 offensive rebounds. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Osborne only pulled down four offensive boards.

Osborne's record is now 6-19. As for Paulding County, their record is now 18-7.

Osborne took a serious blow against Paulding County in their previous meeting on Friday, falling 101-41. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Paulding County's Hope Johnson, who dropped a double-double with 23 points and 13 boards.
