Basketball Recap: Mountainside Comes Up Short

On Monday, the Mountainside Wolves ended up a good deal behind the St. John Paul II Catholic Lions and lost 59-43. The Wolves have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Mountainside's loss dropped their record down to 1-7. As for St. John Paul II Catholic, their win ended a five-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 4-11.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Mountainside won't have much time to rest: their next game is against San Pasqual Valley at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Mountainside is facing San Pasqual Valley at the right time seeing as San Pasqual Valley is stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for St. John Paul II Catholic, they will square off against Glendale Prep Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
