Football Recap: Norwayne Starts Season with Victory Against St. Clairsville

Norwayne took care of business in their home opener (and then some) on Friday. They put the hurt on the St. Clairsville Red Devils with a sharp 47-27 win. This was payback for the Bobcats, who suffered a 28-21 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Ryder Ingold had an outrageously good game as he picked up 180 receiving yards and four touchdowns. He was no stranger to the big play, cutting upfield on a catch that went for 64 yards.

Norwayne didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Jacob Bruner and Chaz Maxwell. Maxwell got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Norwayne will square off against Triway at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for St. Clairsville, they will take on Brownsville at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
