Volleyball Recap: Wayne County Takes Loss Despite Strong Efforts from Briell Domi and Callie Baker

The Wayne County Cardinals didn't have quite enough to beat Varsity Opponent on Monday and fell 3-2. The Cardinals have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

Wayne County started the match hot and won the first two sets, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The match finished with set scores of 23-25, 16-25, 25-22, 25-19, 16-14.

Despite the loss, Wayne County had strong showings from Callie Baker, who had 17 digs and three aces, and Briell Domi, who had 16 digs.

Wayne County's defeat dropped their record down to 17-14.

Wayne County has already played their next matchup, a 3-0 loss against Whitley County on the 14th. Varsity Opponent has also already played their next match (against Kingdom Christian), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
