Football Game Preview: Bolivar Central Tigers vs. Covington Chargers + How To Watch

Bolivar Central hasn't had much luck against Covington recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Tigers will host the Chargers at 7:00 p.m.

It was a proper cat-fight when Bolivar Central took on McNairy Central on Friday. The Tigers fell 35-27 to the Bobcats. While the Tigers had to settle for second, they closed the game well in the third quarter, where they outscored the Bobcats 14-7.

Meanwhile, Covington put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They blew past Ripley 58-0. Given the Chargers' advantage in MaxPreps' Tennessee football rankings (they are ranked 71st, while the Tigers are ranked 307th) , the win wasn't entirely unexpected.

Bolivar Central's loss dropped their record down to 3-3. As for Covington, their win bumped their record up to 6-0.

Bolivar Central was dealt a bruising 70-6 defeat at the hands of Covington when the teams last played back in November of 2024. Thankfully for the Tigers, Skylan Smith (who rushed for 185 yards and three scores on only 12 carries) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result?
