Soccer Game Preview: Midlothian vs. James River Midlothian

The Midlothian Trojans will square off against the James River Midlothian Rapids at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Neither team made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

Midlothian is headed into the match without a loss and will look to keep things rolling. They and Cosby finished up on equal footing with a 1-1 draw on Tuesday. The result (or lack thereof) marked Midlothian's first draw of the season.

Their goal came courtesy of Lucas Frazier, who's now up to three this season.

Meanwhile, James River Midlothian had to hit the road for their first game and it wasn't the result they were hoping for. They fell just short of Monacan by a score of 2-1 back in March. The game was a 1-1 toss-up at halftime, but James River Midlothian couldn't quite close it out.

Midlothian's draw makes their record 5-0-1 this season. As for James River Midlothian, their loss dropped their record down to 0-1.

Midlothian might still be hurting after the 6-3 defeat they got from James River Midlothian in their previous matchup back in May of 2024. That contest was all but decided by halftime, at which point the Trojans were down 3-0.
