Softball Recap: Bayside Takes a Loss

If Bayside was feeling good fresh off their 16-0 takedown of Palm Bay last Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Bayside Bears took a 9-4 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Satellite Scorpions on Monday. The game marked the Bears' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

HALEIGH CURRY was cooking despite her team's loss, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 2-for-3. AUBREE KNOCHE also deserves some recognition as she got her first hit of the season.

Bayside's loss was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 2-3. As for Satellite, their record now sits at 3-1.

Coming up, Bayside will head out on the road to take on Sebastian River at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. This will be Sebastian River's first chance to prove their worth in the conference. As for Satellite, they will venture away from home to challenge Titusville at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Titusville has struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 13.25 runs per game on average), something Satellite will no doubt try to take advantage of.
