Volleyball Recap: Davenport Central Takes a Loss

Davenport Central and Pleasant Valley squared off in some playoff action on Thursday, but Davenport Central had to settle for second. They lost 3-0 to the Spartans. The Blue Devils just can't catch a break and have now endured five defeats in a row.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-15, 25-10, 25-11.

Pleasant Valley can attribute much of their success to Addi Allaman, who had six digs and four aces. Those four aces gave Allaman a new career-high.

Davenport Central's loss dropped their record down to 5-17. As for Pleasant Valley, they are on a roll lately: they've won 16 of their last 17 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 28-5 record this season.

Davenport Central does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Pleasant Valley, they will square off against Dubuque Senior at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
