Basketball Recap: South Side Find Success

South Side hadn't done well against Mt. Vernon-Enola recently (they were 0-9 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. The South Side Hornet narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past the Mt. Vernon-Enola Warhawks 53-50. This was a revenge game for the Hornet: when they faced off against the Warhawks back in December of 2024, they had to take a 42-41 defeat.

South Side's victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 15-12. As for Mt. Vernon-Enola, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 17-11.
