Pettisville came tearing into Friday's contest with five straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 13.4 points), and they left with even more momentum. They came out on top against the North Central Eagles by a score of 31-18. Given the Blackbirds' advantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 240th, while the Eagles are ranked 684th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Pettisville's win was their seventh straight at home, which pushed their record up to 18-4. As for North Central, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost four of their last five games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-15 record this season.
