Football Recap: Grovetown Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Grovetown fell victim to Newton and their airtight defense on Friday. They were dealt a 30-0 defeat at the hands of the Rams. If the Warriors were looking for revenge after losing 60-24 to the Rams when the teams met back in November of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Kevin Hartsfield produced another solid performance rushing for 100 yards and two scores on only nine carries for Newton. The Rams are 3-1 when Hartsfield posts 80 or more rushing yards, but 1-2 otherwise.

Grovetown now has a losing record of 3-4. As for Newton, their win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 4-3.

Grovetown has already played their next matchup, a 42-0 loss against Archer on the 10th. As for Newton, they will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Heritage at 7:30 p.m. on the 17th. The Rams will be up against the Patriots' rather soft defense (which has allowed 28 points per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
